Jodie Lapchick, Creative Partner/Senior Designer
Jodie Lapchick
Creative Partner/Senior Designer

Collaborator, design strategist, and harnesser of a brand’s true potential. Jodie Lapchick has earned these descriptors and more in her 25+ years in marketing communications. Her career began as an Ad Design major at the Art Institute in 1979-81. From 1998 to 2009, Jodie ran Lapchick Creative, a Portland-based (Maine) strategic marketing firm regarded for its successful branding, messaging, and effective communications. During those 10+ years, Jodie spearheaded the following campaigns, as well as tourism advertising for Maine+Company and the Downeaster:

  • “Everything Maine.” (Client: a marketing collaboration of Greater Portland stakeholders)
  • “Love. Downtown. More.” (Client: Downtown Portland-PDD)
  • “Monday Morning Never Looked so Good.” (Client: Portland Economic Development Council)
  • “If you lived and worked here, where in the world would you go on vacation?” (Client: Scarborough Economic Development Corporation)

Jodie now runs an independent practice focused on brand development and design — which makes her the perfect creative partner for Marketing That Matters. We believe her creative problem-solving, leadership and design talent – as well as her ability to convene disparate stakeholders and her client work with Maine and New Hampshire nonprofits and in tourism advertising – provides a sweet spot of expertise to our Marketing that Matters clients and projects. Not to mention, we love her energy and passion for all things branding!

Jodie has lived in Maine her entire adult life. In 2011, she ran for Mayor of Portland on a platform based on Portland’s creative economy. We’re thrilled to partner with Jodie and bring her talents to a number of our clients in Maine and beyond.
