Chris Gorney
Creative Partner/Art Director

What sets Chris Gorney’s designs apart is the strategic energy behind them. With each idea, Chris drives brands forward. He captures their essence and helps stake a claim in the consumer’s mind. To Chris, for every brand and every image, there’s a purpose. And results.

When we need to marry brand strategy and solid business thinking with great design, we turn to Chris. Over his 20-year career, he has developed the ability to uncover the heart and soul of a brand and make it sing. The result? Potential customers turned evangelists. Now that’s some serious brand building.

With a history of strengthening big brands and growing smaller ones, Chris has built a rich record of business and creative experience. His career has taken him from New York City agencies to in-house corporate teams. Along the way, he’s covered nearly all the marketing and design bases, designing retail environments, creating smart advertising, crafting brand identities and beyond.

Chris has lent his creativity and expertise to brands like Chase Manhattan, Callaway Golf, Gateway Computers, Bose, Home Depot, Lunds & Byerlys, and the Cook County Visitors Bureau “Way North of Ordinary” identity redesign. When he’s not fending off the mundane with his wicked smart design, you’re likely to find a sweaty bottle of locally brewed IPA or a canoe paddle in this beer-loving outdoorsman’s hands.

At Marketing that Matters, we’re proud to offer Chris’ skills as our Creative Partner/ Art Director and Designer.
